Bristol Rugby Face Nottingham

Sunday, March 7th 2010 07:00

British and Irish Cup final fixture.

Bristol travel to Nottingham today for their final fixture in the pool stages of the RFU's British & Irish Cup.

With Bristol sitting only 3 points behind Pool leaders Munster, a win against Nottingham on Sunday could see them finish top of their group and through to the semi-finals of the competition.

After a Man-of-the-Match performance last weekend against Heriots FP, James Merriman is again handed the role of Captain against the Green & Whites.

England Seven's Matt Turner and Dan Norton remain on the wings, whilst in the centre, two changes are shown with Junior Fatialofa and Alex Crockett named. The latter will make his debut appearance for Bristol at Meadow Lane.

Academy fly-half Mark Davies is handed his first start for the Club, pairing up with fellow half-back Sam Alford.

England U20 prop Mako Vunipola is named in the front row along side Ross Johnston and Wayne Thompson.

The back row remains unchanged from the team that beat Heriots FP last weekend, whilst Argentina International Mariano Sambucetti and Academy lock Darren Barry make up the second row.
